3 Signs You’re in an Aesthetic Treatment Rut Las Vegas, NV

If you’re interested in aging gracefully (and who isn’t?), we have some great news for you: There truly has never been a better time than now to look your best at ANY age. Thanks to advancements in aesthetic technology, you can literally stimulate skin renewal, smooth wrinkles and reverse the aging process with relative ease.

Because today’s aesthetic treatments work so well, it’s not uncommon for patients to become attached to certain treatments. They love their treatment so much that they may miss the signs when it is time to move on to a different treatment or to adjust/expand their regimen. We call this phenomenon the aesthetic treatment rut. Are you in one? Here are a few warning signs to look out for!

1. Your treatment doesn’t seem to work as well.

Most aesthetic treatments cannot be overdone. Take any skin rejuvenation treatment. They only serve to help strengthen your skin by stimulating new collagen and elastin growth, which are the building blocks for supple, radiant skin. There are a few treatments, however, that can be overdone: namely, Botox® and dermal fillers. With Botox, you can actually build up a tolerance to it over time.

The solution:
Though it doesn’t happen often, if you notice that you need more and more of the product to get the same result, it may be time to try a different neuromodulator such as Xeomin®, Dysport® or Jeuveau®.

2. You are “overfilled.”

We see examples of this on social media all the time. When lips are so injected that it interferes with a person’s speech, or when facial symmetry is stretched, puffed up and distorted beyond a person’s natural contours, it’s obvious that a person has been “overfilled” with dermal fillers.

The solution:
Visit Sikara Medspa for a personal consultation. If you’ve been “overserved,” so to speak, we can help you adjust your aesthetic regimen so you can enjoy a balanced and natural looking appearance while still looking radiant and youthful. Often, a patient who has undergone a particular treatment for years is fearful about changing their routine because they think they’ll lose their looks. We are here to reassure you that the exact opposite is the case! Our team of experts are here to help you look amazing, not overdone.

Age is a factor. As we age, we lose volume in the face. The problem with only using fillers to restore that lost volume year after year is that you can overfill your face. With a lot of filler, you may achieve a lift but it can distort facial contours. When a patient has received fillers for years, they are often a good candidate for a PDO thread lift. Where dermal fillers help to restore lost facial volume with a smooth HA-based gel, literally filling in the face, a thread lift helps to lift, smooth and tighten skin using fully dissolvable threads which provide a support structure underneath the skin. Fillers are extremely effective at providing more volume and a slight lift to the face, but when a patient needs a more substantial lifting effect, PDO threads may be the ideal choice.

3. YOU are in a rut.

Everything is going just fine, but you just can’t seem to shake the blahs. You are in a rut, a feeling everyone can relate to!

The solution:
Change up your routine a little or a lot. This is a wonderful time to try a new body contouring treatment you’ve always fantasized about, like CoolSculpting®, a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that freezes away fat cells with little to no downtime. Or, what about smoothing away acne scars with a series of Morpheus8 RF microneedling treatments? There is so much we can do to help you look and feel your best. Treating yourself to a results-driven aesthetic treatment can do wonders for your mind and body.
