You will relax while we apply special cooling applicators to your target areas. Your treatment areas will turn cold and become fully numb as the cooling applicators work their magic, slowly crystallizing and disabling your targeted fat cells.
CoolSculpting is a well-tolerated treatment. You may feel a stinging sensation and discomfort as your treatment areas are becoming numb, but this sensation will dissipate as soon as you are fully numb. Most patients are able to relax or read during their treatment, depending on the areas being treated.
Depending on the area or areas you are treating, a session ranges from 45 minutes to a few hours.
You will be able to resume your regular day immediately following your treatment. You may feel lingering numbness and slight discomfort, but these sensations resolve on their own in the hours or days after treatment.
Once CoolSculpting freezes your fat cells, they are naturally flushed from your body through your endocrine system. This means your results will appear gradually in the months following your treatment. Typically, patients see optimal benefits up to three months following their last treatment.
